Not taking any at the moment, but I wanted to tell you how much I love this movie and how thrilled I am to see icons of it!

I just saw this movie for the first time the other day, and it is INSTANTLY one of my favorite films ever. LOVED IT.

LOL, right? I think anyone who appreciates great movies couldn't help but love this. It's an absolute masterpiece.

It just makes me wish I had that best female friend...the grim ending I would never fantasize. ;-)

Peter Jackson is amazing for having made this film. I need it on DVD actually, these icons are so chilling and atmospheric.

I did a little jig of glee, they are beautiful. That film is actually my number one film. No fault. I can still remember the first time I watched it and my reaction. I can pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love too, that vivid, aww!
I hope you do DO more but that beautiful one of Exley all bruised and bandaged is going in my icons riiiiiiiiiight now!

Thank yoooou. I cannot forgive myself for never seeing this movie up until a few days ago. "Chilling" is the perfect word, you're absolutely right. That last scene??? Wow. I've never seen a more chilling movie in my LIFE. *__*

It definitely is an amazing experience. I will always love Kate Winslet as an actress, due to that film. I think I saw it late at night when I was about 14 when I should have been asleep or something and it felt so personal. Even though it's a film and thousands of people saw it at the same time on telly, it felt like it playng just for you?
Isn't it just so naughty the way they swear and giggle at school and touch scars? It stays in your mind so vivid even after you haven't seen it for years.

I'm surprised you hadn't seen it already. Ahh I really need to see more films myself... I've hardly seen any this year :(

This is one of my favorite movies. Thanks so much for doing these! I was one of your "serial posters" so I try to be quiet nowadays ;) But this -- um, I'll be using a ton of these (with credit obviously) and I hope that's OK.

This was the first film of both Melanie Lynskey and Kate Winslet. When people do icons of it, they tend to be short on the Paul and long on the Juliet -- not that I don't want to look at Kate, but still, this is a really nice change. I saw the movie in the theater -- it was at our art-house place here. It reminded me so viscerally of my best-friend/first-girlfriend relationship in high school. Before lesbian or bi chic, there were lots of things to make us feel desperate, disgusting, alone and thwarted at every turn. I don't know how Peter Jackson was able to empathize with that as well as he did, but damn, did he ever pull it off.

This is one of my forever-favourite movies, too. Me and my friend saw it a few years ago and fell in love immediately, because ...well, it's going to sound cheesy, but Juliet and Pauline were so completely like us. And I'm talking about similarities at the level of the details of the history of our friendship (like the fact that we met when I went to a new school and joined Paula's class, etc.). The mother-murdering bit was an exception, of course. xD

Anyways, thanks for the great icons. :D I'm stealing... a lot. ;) Will credit, of course!
